BESPOKE ALUMINIUM CASEMENT & BAY WINDOWS, SECURE ENTRANCE DOOR INSTALLED IN ENFIELD, NORTH LONDON
At Durants Road in Enfield, North London we completed a comprehensive supply and installation project involving a wide range of high-performance aluminium windows and doors using the AluK 58BW and 58BD systems. The property now features a total of 26 aluminium casement window elements, including combinations of fixed sashes, side-hung windows, and top-hung windows, all fabricated with thermally efficient double glazing rated at Ug=1.0 W/(m²K). These were finished in RAL 7016M anthracite grey externally with internal white finishes in some units. Hardware throughout includes slim-line espagnolette locks, black handles, standard friction stays, and trickle vents to meet ventilation requirements.
Among the highlights of the installation are five large bay windows configured in three, four, and five-part sections, combining fixed glazing with side-hung and top-hung openers. These units include bay poles, bay cill joint kits, and dummy sashes where needed to deliver a traditional bay window appearance with modern thermal performance. Stippolyte obscure glazing was used on selected windows for privacy, including several smaller units combining fixed and top-hung elements. All glazing features clear float or laminated safety glass with argon gas-filled cavities and Thermobar spacers.
An aluminium bi-folding door system was also installed using the AluK BSF70 HI system. This three-pane door opens outwards with all leaves folding to the left, finished in anthracite grey with black hinges and handles, and a 150mm cill. The installation includes toughened double glazing for safety and thermal performance, with no trickle vent as per client request.
Security and durability were further enhanced with the installation of an armoured aluminium entrance door using the Golden Door system. This entrance door includes an aluminium panel externally and timber internally, fitted with a CISA RS3-S multi-point locking system, a 1800mm vertical handle, panoramic security viewer, and nickel-plated locking components for added protection. Additionally, a single residential aluminium door was supplied and fitted using the AluK 58BD system. This door is hinged on the left, features a flat aluminium panel at the bottom, and includes laminated safety glazing above, black handles and hinges, a 150mm cill, and concealed drainage.
This project demonstrates our expertise in delivering tailored aluminium glazing solutions that balance performance, security, and design.
