ARMOURED SECURITY DOOR, SCHÜCO BI-FOLD DOOR & ALUK 58BW WINDOWS SUPPLIED & FITTED IN BARNET, NORTH LONDON
At this residential property on Dormers Hillside Gardens in Barnet, North London, we delivered a high-specification installation that combined premium security with elegant contemporary design. The project featured a high-performance armoured entrance door, a sleek aluminium bi-folding door, and multiple AluK 58BW aluminium windows, all finished in a deep RAL 9005 black for a cohesive and modern look.
The setup includes internal and external black matt square handles, a panoramic eye viewer, and anti-vandal side glazing, making it ideal for homeowners seeking maximum security with architectural flair. Complementing the doors, we supplied and installed a variety of AluK 58BW/58BD aluminium window systems across the property. Five main window units were fabricated with a combination of two side-hung openers and two fixed sashes, providing excellent airflow and natural light. Each window was built using chamfered bead profiles, black slim Espag handles, and ST offset locking mechanisms, with clear float double glazing in most areas and obscure Stippolyte glass where privacy was needed.
A separate dual side-hung window was also installed, using heavy-duty friction stays and featuring the same sleek black design with integrated trickle ventilation and clear float glazing. This window was fitted with a 95mm cill and matched seamlessly with the rest of the installation.
In addition, three individual side-hung aluminium windows were positioned throughout the home where each was glazed with obscure patterned glass for privacy, fitted with drop nose cills, and finished with standard friction stays and slim black handles, maintaining visual consistency across the property.
To open up the living space and connect indoors with the outdoors, we installed a 5-panel aluminium bi-folding door system using the Schüco ASS70 FD range. This door folds to the left and opens outwards, featuring black handles, non-locking T-handles, and a 150mm deep cill. The bi-fold door is equipped with double-glazed clear toughened safety glass and black trickle vents to meet ventilation requirements while maintaining energy efficiency.
For the main entrance, we supplied and fitted a Jet Black armoured front door with a left-side fixed frosted glass panel. The Golden Plus 15-point locking system and CISA RS3-S high-security lock offer advanced protection, while the door’s flat and vertically-lined aluminium panels provide a sleek, modern aesthetic.
