UPVC LINIAR ENERGY+ WINDOWS & CONTEMPORARY MAIN ENTRANCE DOOR INSTALLATION IN ENFIELD, NORTH LONDON
At Enfield Road in Enfield, North London, this home improvement project involved the expert installation of a contemporary front entrance door alongside multiple high-performance uPVC casement and fixed windows, all tailored to enhance thermal efficiency, visual appeal, and everyday functionality.
The entrance was fitted with a premium composite front door from the Urban Solid range, finished in Anthracite Grey both externally and internally. The sculptured Rustique 72mm uPVC frame supported a secure and stylish single door, which opens outwards with left-hand hinges. The door includes a concealed bottom drainage system, a 150mm Anthracite Grey cill, and an Exitex MXS 15mm aluminium threshold for improved weather protection and accessibility. High-security Winkhaus Trulock locking hardware, chrome Aff Lever/Lever handles, a nickel thumb-turn cylinder, and a mid-centre Balmoral letterplate completed the hardware configuration.
The project also featured the installation of three Liniar Sculpt Energy+ uPVC windows in Grey 7016 Grain finish. The first window consisted of a side-hung sash and a fixed field, equipped with a 28mm sculptured bead, black handle, Shootbolt MK2 locking system, and fitted with stippled obscure double glazing (4-20-4) filled with argon gas for energy performance and privacy.
The second was a wider casement window incorporating two side-hung sashes and a central fixed field, also fitted with Shootbolt locking, night vent trickle ventilation, and thermally efficient 4-20-4 glazing.
The third window was a fixed casement unit with obscure glazing and no opening sections, designed to allow light while maintaining privacy. All windows included concealed drainage, steel reinforcement, and 180mm cills, combining energy-saving technology with a clean, contemporary finish.
