UNIFOLD ALUMINIUM SLIDING DOOR & GEORGIAN-STYLE CASEMENT WINDOWS INSTALLED IN CHESHUNT, EN8
At 33 Flamstead End Road in Cheshunt, EN8, we completed the supply and installation of a custom aluminium folding door system and a large aluminium casement window, both designed for long-term performance and visual appeal.
The external door was installed using the UniFOLD folding system, configured to open outwards with the master door positioned on the right-hand side for convenient entry and exit. The system was finished in 9910HG Hipca White, with coordinated white lever handles, white non-locking T-handles, white magnetic catches (26mm and 60mm), and fitted with a 150mm drop nose cill.
To ensure compliance with ventilation standards and water drainage, the door included automatic drainage features, a 35mm top frame extender, and a white 4000ea trickle vent. For thermal safety and performance, the door was double glazed with 4/20/4 toughened clear glass.
Alongside the door, we installed a large aluminium window element including two side-hung windows, one top-hung window for upper-level airflow, and a central fixed glazing panel to maximise natural light. Manufactured using the Aluk 58BW and 58BD systems and finished in 9910HG Hipca White, the window featured AW608 and AW605 outer framing, a feature transom and mullion, and AW614 slim chamfered casement sashes.
The window was fitted with standard friction hinges, 12-inch side-hung stays, 8-inch top-hung stays, and ST offset locking mechanisms for added security. All opening sashes were completed with white espagnolette handles and supported by a 150mm drop nose cill. The double glazing consisted of 4/20/4 clear float glass, and thin white Georgian-style bars were incorporated within the sealed glass units to give the window a classic and multi-pane appearance. A white 4000ea trickle vent was also integrated for regulated airflow.
The completed installation not only delivered high levels of energy efficiency, security, and ventilation, but also enhanced the visual appeal of the property by combining modern aluminium systems with a traditional Georgian-style window design.
