MODERN AEROFOIL JULIET BALCONY & ENERGY EFFICIENT UPVC SLIDING WINDOW INSTALLED IN CROUCH END, NORTH LONDON
This residential property in Crouch End, North London was enhanced with the installation of a contemporary aluminium Juliet balcony and a high-performance white uPVC sliding window system, designed to improve natural light, ventilation and energy efficiency.
The Aerofoil Juliet balcony was supplied in a white finish to complement the property’s exterior and create a clean, modern appearance. Manufactured from durable aluminium profiles, the balcony features a slim Aerofoil handrail and 10mm clear toughened safety glass, ensuring both structural strength and secure fall protection. The aluminium construction provides long-term weather resistance while maintaining a lightweight and elegant design, making it an ideal solution for upper-floor French doors or large window openings.
For improved thermal insulation, the window incorporates 4-20-4 double glazing with Low-E glass, a 20mm Thermo Black warm edge spacer bar and argon gas filling, helping to reduce heat loss and improve overall energy performance. Security and usability were enhanced with MK2 shootbolt locking, white handles, and Titon 1700 night vents for controlled background ventilation.

Alongside the balcony installation, we fitted a large white uPVC sliding window element consisting of two central sliding sashes and two fixed side windows. The sliding leaves operate internally within the outer fixed glazed panels, providing practical ventilation without requiring additional external space. The window was manufactured using the Liniar Sculpt Energy+ 57mm uPVC profile system, reinforced for structural stability and fitted with a 150mm cill to ensure effective water drainage.
